Spring is Here

Sorry for long term construction.
I have been very ill with long-term covid and related issues.
Also, had additional personal health issues going on.
However, this site is still active and under construction.

  • Emphasis is being placed on Yearbooks and Scrapbooks. There are many more yearbooks to add to the site.
  • A book scanner has been purchased for scanning purposes so they should be appearing in the near future [one-by-one, of course].
  • Scrapbooks structure is being created while data is being gathered for later placement therein.



Cook Academy as it looked in 1943

Cook Academy added to School Menu.

Cook Academy existed [1858-1943] in Montour Falls, NY. It started out an orphanage, closed, became a school for boys from the ophanage, closed, and then became a private boys boardng high school. It finally closed in 1943. It's site is in the process of being created.

Achievement Ctr Logo

Some Students utilize one-on-one learning programs. It is now linked to under "Boces and Tutoring" on the School Menu

The Achievement Center is a learning center offering supplementary and complementary instruction to the formal school program for students in grades pre-K through adult. They are located in Horseheads, NY, and have clients from Elmira, Corning, Watkins Glen, Sayre, Wellsboro, Troy, Mansfield, Ithaca and other nearby locations in both New York and Pennsylvania.

  • Correspondence High School Programs/Classes
  • Internet [online] Programs [like SRU and ICS]
  • Virtual Classes [through local school or otherwise]
  • GED [thru local HS Night Classes or otherwise]
  • Other at-home programs including traditional

Due to illness, deaths, and Covid, the alumni nostalgic websites have been on a back burner for a while. Hopefully, they will again be updated.

Are you an alumni if you did not graduate from a specific high shool or program

Yes, you are. Alumnus by definition is former student or pupil of a school, college, or university. Rhsaas-Org considers all former students of a school an alumni whether they graduated from that school or not. If they attended more than one school or alternative program, they are also an alumni of that school or alternative program too.
